Glove Challenge finalists announced

The first round of judging on the second STEM Challenge is complete and we would like to thank everyone who has taken part.

The feedback from the judges has been really encouraging and they were impressed with the huge amount of work that has gone into the entries. You've done us proud!

The eight finalist teams come from the following schools:

Congratulations to them all. They have been informed and we wish them luck in the finals which are due to take place on 1st July.

This is in addition to the expenses paid trip to the Science Museum, which includes a curator-led tour of the Science Museum, a private viewing of the "Who am I?" exhibition, a behind-the-scenes tour of the IMAX theatre and time in the Launchpad gallery.

Every school that enters a team into the Anti-doping STEM Challenge will be entered into a free prize draw for a set of STEM Club Boxes.

What's more, if you enter a team and you sign up to the Get Set Network, then we'll enter your name into a draw for a free tour of the London 2012 construction site.

Once you have entered a team and signed up to Get Set, please send an email to prizedraw@stemchallenges.net with "GET SET" in the title, stating your name, contact number and school name.

The deadline for both of the above draws is 14th June 2010. (Maximum of one entry per school per draw.) The draws are only open to state schools in UK.

The STEM Challenges form part of Get Set, the official London 2012 education programme. Get Set is all about involving children and young people in the excitement and inspiration of the London 2012 Games.
